Teacher’s Kit

Each volume has its own Teacher’s Kit reflecting different learning styles and including teaching visual aids, songs, and a Teacher’s Manual written in age-appropriate language.

Each Student Activities Pack has weekly Kids’ Quest take-home papers for each age group, including catechism questions and answers, activities, stories, and songs that reinforce the biblical truths and notes to parents. Also included in Volume 1 Student Packs is a First Catechism booklet with numbers and pictures to color and spaces for stickers or check marks to record recitation.

Where to Set Up

Club rooms should include a seating area for listening and learning, tables for art and writing, and plenty of space to move around during games and activities. Set up a separate room or area as the Recitation Center, where the children go to formally recite the answers to the catechism questions to the recitation listener. Impress upon the hearer the need for a high standard of word-perfect recitation of the answers. Standard writing, art, and craft supplies are used each week.

Fun songs, either live or on the Beginning or Elementary Kids’ Quest CD, will encourage the children’s singing. Click here to see the songs used in Elementary Kids’ Quest.

More Resources to Make Learning Fun

  • The Ask Me Whoo CDs also are a great addition to any program. Families can use the three CDs to sing the words of First Catechism word-for-word and help with memorization.
  • First Catechism To Go is an app experience for all devices. You can put First Catechism on your phone! Quiz yourself or your kids with interactive functions like drawing and tapping.
  • This 24-page booklet has every Q/A with fill-in-the-blank spaces to complete sentences, making it a great tool for review and memorization.
