Jesus is the Savior

In the Spring 1 quarter children will find out about Jesus’ love for his people, his death and resurrection, his ascension, the promised Holy Spirit, and the Lord’s return one day.

Unit 1emphasizes thatJesus Is the Loving Savior. Children will discover that Jesus is the loving Savior who forgives sinners, young and old, and changes their hearts. They will learn that God’s children are helpless and must depend on Jesus, thanking him for his goodness to them.

Unit 2 presents evidence that Jesus Is the Savior-King. Your learners will find out that Jesus is God’s King, sent to earth to deliver his people from sin and death. They will discover that Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey and the people praised him. Jesus went on to claim authority in the temple. He established the Lord’s Supper. Then Jesus allowed his enemies to crucify him so that he could save his people from the punishment they deserved.

The remaining lessons, which comprise Unit 3, emphasize that Jesus Is the Risen Lord. The children will learn of the Savior’s victory over sin and death when he rose from the dead on the third day, according to his promise. As the risen Lord appeared to his disciples, they came to believe in him, and he gave them the task of making disciples of all nations until he returns to earth in power and glory. After Jesus ascended to his Father in heaven, he sent his Holy Spirit to enable his children to serve him until his return, when he will take them to be with him forever.

With God’s blessing, may your preschoolers learn that the Lord Jesus Christ is truly the livingSavior. May they respond to the message of salvation with faith so that they can say, “I love Jesus. He is my Savior.”
